On Thursday, 4 September 2025, Ben Bailey, CEO of Combined Demolition Services (CDS), attended Parliament House to meet with Hon. Milton Dick, Speaker of the House of Representatives, alongside valued partners from the Asbestos Diseases Foundation of Australia (ADFA), including Barry Robson (President), John Limpus (Public Officer), and members of the ADFA Committee.
The occasion marked a special recognition of Barry Robson’s 30 years of service to the cause and his lifetime of dedicated advocacy for Australians impacted by asbestos-related disease. The milestone was celebrated with a morning tea in Milton Dick’s office, the signing of the official register an honour typically reserved for heads of state and a full tour of Parliament.
Our Commitment
Discussions throughout the day centred on the importance of further strengthening protections for workers and communities, with particular emphasis on ensuring conditions continue to evolve in line with the latest health, safety, and regulatory standards.
At Combined Demolition Services, we are proud to support ADFA and other industry leaders in advancing asbestos safety and advocating for stronger protections that safeguard Australian workers, families, and communities.
Special thanks to John Lee for coordinating the event and to Speaker Milton Dick for his warm hospitality.
